My Final Exam Timetable

Any comment? It's seem pretty good. The gap between each paper quite is just nice. Btw, this weekend, I’m going to Kemamam for Drilling and Production Technology trip to Halliburton and Baker Huges. This is the final field trip of my last semester in UTP since the last geology trip to Langkawi, fully sponsored. The other trip, like going to Cameron was self-sponsored. *dush*. Thanks to the lecturer and students involved in organizing this trip. Really appreciate it very much coz it will be the momentum for us to study for final exam that just around the corner. Pertaining that, I've to ensure that my fyp is right on track and prepare for the study week. All the best!

Pre EDX presentation

Pergh.. Nicely done! Eventhough I was the 2 last people to be evaluated for preEDX poster presentation. I’d rather said that I was having very good time there at block 13. Actually my evaluator was Dr. Indra Sati Harahap and Dr. Nasiman(my sv). Due to some problem (he was very hungry) he just postponed it until 2pm. Suddenly my lovely SV came in and ask FYP coordinator to change the evaluator. I was really calm and the presentation went smoothly. I’ve been asked to get the result of XRD for treated soil with lime to see the different. Overall, I’d say that I’ve done it with full of spirit. The question whether I’m going to be selected for EDX or not is other problem. It has pro and cons if I were selected. Extra mark about 5 marks for my FYP. This is my final semester already, so I just hope that everything happened with some reason and I’ve just to be positive toward everything that come and go in my journey of life. guys that having camera at that moment,do please share ur pics coz i'm gonna edit it.thanks to kak ima and kak ina for helping me a lot throughout the semester.my spexial thanks also goes to my colleagues - mas elina, noreta, pem, yusra,kd and ain for the support.. thanks to yon for comment on the poster (i've edited alrealdy, but not much~).

Finally~

Almost two semesters already I’ve been working on with my fyp. Today, at this rite very moment, all the experiment finally over. After this, I don’t have to go to the lab for conducting the test anymore. Still I have to go and have a visit there…thanks to kak ima, abng zaini and the rest of lab technicians for the help. My special thanks also goes to beloved frens pem, noreta, yus, kd, maselina, ain and judin for being such a great companion in the lab. Actually the fyp is not totally over; I still have lots of thing to settle down regarding fyp. Shyte…i don’t have correct word to use. Maybe I’m too tired. All my fingers also keep on pressing the wrong place on the keyboard. This is the list out of things that I’ve done and don’t have to enlighten here due some circumstances.

• Watching free movie ‘la buche’ – its French’s week so got free movie at auditorium. Tonight’s movie is ‘7 days in Tibet’. Unfortunately I’m very damn tired!
• Preliminary nasyid competition – I’ve arrived at the mph somewhat late after watching the movie at auditorium. Most of the group very tempting and possess very excellent voice projection. Hihi.. my comment just like pengkritik af.
• Roti canai USM café - I am really obsessed to the taste of roti canai malay made at usm café. The flavor of the roti is very scrumptious. Normally I bought 1 roti canai + 1 roti canai telur. Pergghh.. Delicious! I’d recommend to UTPian, have a visit at the USM café whether morning for breakfast or at night for dinner.

Hectic week~

i was very eager and concern to write the blog, but the connection was really sucks!!! nothing to express here rather than critics and add up sin for saying some bad words. juat wanna share with you guys, can u see the pic below? thanks to paksu and Dr Nasiman for showing us the location of free mineral water. the water that comes out from the well head was come from RM100k of well drilling cost. the director of the drilling company at that moment was my SV. the water was really cool and refreshing. i still keep it in a bottle at my room. the well actually penetrate the big mass of granite rock which fulfill the specification of mineral water production standard. water from the inside rock!! rock yeah~ haha.. wanna know the location?? come and see me in my room or just give me a call. fyi, we was on the way to take my fyp sample at one of the famous place in malaysia.. that was the hint~ k got to go.

Poster battle!

Poster battle! At this moment, each of Civil FYP students is extremely busy with poster’s design including me myself. The thing is actually simple to do if ones really know how the arrangement and the procedure to follow. There are quite a number of software to be used such as Macromedia Fireworks and adobe Photoshop (which require some skills), Microsoft PowerPoint and last but not least Microsoft Publisher. Among those software’s, the core item that contribute high percentage of success is the inspiration and the design concept to draft the poster. Arrrghh… I am facing it right know. In reality, I don’t have the idea to do it. What is the color to be chosen and which kind of the arrangement to apply on. I’ve Google (even though the connection suck!) the design concept but the design is excessively fancy and not showing formal and professional poster. The last option, I have tried the Microsoft PowerPoint powerful slide which is not very bad and the most important, the software doesn’t use much ram processor compared to those image editor. Thanks God! At last I have the layout in my mind. You wanna see it? Wait until I’ve done it completely.

Final Year Associates cont’

Due to some comment regarding final year associates posting, I’d like to further explain about my lab mate. Azhar aka Pem is working on sand + rha addition for his fyp. Until now, he’s still doing the compaction and extruding the samples [sand sample are fragile and easily rupture] in the lab with the rest of the other members, Noreta, Yusra and Effa. What’s more? Nowadays Azhar’s behavior is rather bothersome. Well, the rest of us almost completely had done the compaction part. Hik hikss. Only Judin and he are still doing it right now. Therefore, he will try to drag our attention toward the mistake that we have done during the previous tests. “Pitya, you have to do it again, from the journal”. Then he repetitively said that over and over again while doing his work. All of us just smile and laughing in the midst of his manners. “Pitya, you have to go to Cameron to take the sample again!”Yeah, I agree, in the lab there is no entertainment at all. The only thing we have is to hear the mumbling of each of us and not to forget, cursing each others. haha..Come on Azhar, u can do it!!! Hopefully after this, our relationship among lab mate will be lasting forever and ever. Here are some pictures taken in the lab. Enjoy it!

Final Year Project Associates

khairul azhar (pem), mas elina, noreta, judin, ariff, kd, ain and lastly yusra are my lab mate for FYP final semester. Wanna know them more?? Hmm let me tell about them one by one. Currently all of us mostly working on UC test which test concerning shear strength of the soil, mainly. Fortuitously I have done all the UCT, therefore wont have to worry anymore. Right this very moment, I have just to concentrate on the preparing the progress report and hazard analysis. Such a headache~

Noreta, mas elina, yusra and kd has help me a lot on doing liquid limit, plastic limit and compaction test. Thanks guys for reading out the journal info pertaining lime stabilization. Expectantly, all of us will hold the triumph in our hands. Gambatte! Enuf explanation already guys? That’s just enuf folks. Keep it for next time bed story~
