A visit to Boolah's Farm

Help me please! Tulun2. Sebenarnya tengah gian hapdet blog. Well, jom ikot aku g melawat kebun Boolah kat Hutan Gelam, Kedah. Aku sempat g melawat kebun a.k.a Ladang Ternak Cacing pada cuti Deepavali lepas. Sile refer gambar2 dibawah. Besar2 gak cacing die. Agak geli la msa tengok tapak project nih.hehe. 26th October 2008

10.30am
Bertolak ke umah Boolah yang jarak nya lebey kurang 100meter di belakang umah aku. Berjalan kaki saja sebab nak exercise. Bak kata2 Abng Jem Sinar FM “Kesihatan adalah hak milik setiap insan” erk!

10.40am
Sampi di umah Boolah, disambut dengan kompang ala2 pengantin sampai.*giler* haha.. Mak die jamu aku ngn roti canai. Langkah kanan betol lah. Then sembang2 jup

11.00am
Bertolak ke tapak projek yang jaraknya lebey kurang sepuntung rokok menaiki kereta a.k.a limo Boolah. Pegi amik kunci office kat umah abang die di Taman Sri Pinang.

11.30am
Sampi di tapak projek dan peninjauan pon bermula sambil mengambil gamba2 mengunakan SE C902. Hehe

Kat sini ada kebun sayur yang ditanam dengan menggunakan sekam padi. Still dalam percubaan, tapi telah mengeluarkan hasil seperti bendi dan bunga kobis.

Ini Cacing besar! Pergh..geli siot. Boolah nih siap pegang2 lagik. Hoho.. Cacing nih very the active sebab bila tengah kuis2 tanah tuh, die dengan sepantas kilat menyembunyikan diri. Memang super fast la movement die. Btw, sape2 nak belajar cara wat projek cacing nih buley contact Boolah.

Istilah sekarang Camwhore! jgn jadik Manwhore sudeh. Aku & Boolah tengah wat inspection kat tempat pembiakan cacing2.Fyi, aku xpegang or even sentuh sket pon tidak sb teramat geli.*mmg xleh buat keje2 contract cacing nih* sigh

Yang nih apa lak?? Aku tengah brief kat peserta2 yang baru berjinak2 dengan projek cacing. Fyi gak, kat sni ade facilities lengkap untuk peserta2 yang mahu melibatkan diri dalam projek ternakan cacing. BOSET

Ok, enough with Celcom Broadband! Now let talk about something else rather than CB. Hurt enough. Yesterday I was attending BOSET. What the hell is BOSET? Basic Offshore Safety Emergency Training – this is required from someone who going to offshore either for work or simple visit. This is a must. Same goes with me. Luckily I don’t have to pay for the fees. The total amount is near RM1500 per head. Thanks to PETRONAS for the treat!

The training was held at MAS Academy of Kelana Jaya by SEQU Offshore Safety Sdn. Bhd for 3 days. For the first 2 days only theoretical class which listen to the lecture regarding Basic Offshore Safety, Basic Fire Fighting, Sea Survival, Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) including Emergency Breathing System (EBS).

Day #1

The course aims to give new entrants to the offshore industry basic insight of activities and the need of develop a safety culture. In short, to prepare oneself with the adequate preparation in case of emergency i.e Chopper going to land on the sea or fire at platform. I’ve learned about PPE, Permit to Work and transportation type which cover the preparation to travel offshore, boat transfer, swing rope and transfer personnel by basket.

Day #2

Managed to get information regarding Basic Life Support Techniques for example EAR (Expired Air Resuscitation), CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation), Self Rescue and the last but not least is Basic First Aid. After lunch, the training was continued with Theory of Fire, Classes of Fire and Practical session on using various Fire Extinguishers. During this training, I was having an opportunity to expand my network and make new friends from a range of company for instance Hosni and Din. Not to forget Ian from Halliburton which the hero among us. For the first time, I had the chance to use fire extinguisher and practice to put off the fire. Well done!

Day #3

This was the final day that most of us are waiting for. Before attending BOSET, there are a variety of myths and version of stories regarding the training.

"The chopper going to rotate more than 3 times and you’ll definitely lost control and can’t find the way out during the chopper being submerged under the water” – Anonymous

Well, the story above was just nonsense. I managed to pass the training with flying colours. Same goes to the rest of participants. At pool, once again I had the opportunity to breathe using oxygen from the Oxygen tank like in the TV where the divers used to breath underwater. Cool! Even though the mouth piece feel a little bit uneasy coz being share with the rest of participants, the instructor actually dipped it in the disinfectant liquid after use. So it’s a good practice of hygiene. In the end, I managed to pass the training. Thanks to our happy go lucky instructor - Mr Zamani, Mr. Lesly and Ms. Tan and Director Techinical Training Colonel R J Brown.

Now I am questioning myself – Am I ready to go offshore??

Kawan-kawan, ini adalah luahan hati aku yang sakit sangat terhadap servic Celcom Broadband. Hampir seminggu aku mengunggu penyambungan connection aku. Tetapi masih hampa. Kronologi bermula hari sabtu hari raya ke 4 sehingga detik ini aku masih menunggu. Yang sedih, harapan palsu yang diberikan oleh operator Celcom telah membuat diriku menjadi tawar hati dengan Celcom. Arrgghhh... Hampir setiap kali aku menelefon customer care untuk bertanyakan status penyambungan connection aku, tetapi jawapan yang diberi hanyalah untuk menyedapkan hati.

" Okey En. Hafizd, saya dah report kt bhagian yang berkenaan dan Encik hanya perlu tunggu selama 24 jam "

Hampir setiap kali aku mendengar ungkapan yang sama setelah hampir 5 kali menefon mereka... seminggu sudah berlalu, tapi masih hampa menunggu...

Today is 25 of September 2008 and that is my birthday and my twin! Alhamdulillah I am still alive till this very minute. Thanks to Mama & Abah too for their support. Thank you Allah for everything you had given to me. I've been getting so many things this year and year before; start from completing my degree course in Civil Engineering specialization Petroleum and entering the most extravagant working world in PETRONAS Carigali. Well, I am not celebrating it today because I am in the middle of dessert. Hoho.. actually at Teluk Ramunia Fabrication Yard. There is nothing special here except the peoples that working at the yard under the hot sun and a couple of Jacket and Topside that waiting near the shore to be load-out and sail away to offshore soon.

Thanks to those who sms me the birthday wishes. Special thanks to Boolah coz design me the birthday card [click here]. Thank you very very much! Well, i really hope that I can celebrate with my family and the rest of my friends soon. There are many items in my wish list that everyone can contribute. That is the HINT!!! ahaha Love u guys!!!

Ok, got to go. I have to settle everything regarding the load out jacket procedure before Hari Raya. I am going back to KL tomorrow and the next day I'll catch Maraliner and going back to Kampung!!! Nak makan masakan umah plak.. windunye..Yeah! Jemput la datang umah yea hari raya nnti~

Bersempena Ramadhan yang dah nak abes lagik 2 minggu.. yea RAYA!!! haha.. saya dengan ini menyusun sepuluh jari jemari memohon keampunan kepada YM Esa dan juga insan2 manusia di dalam dunia ini yang mengenali dan akan mengenali diri ini. Sesungguhnya manusia tidak lari dari melakukan kesilapan. So, jom pakat mintak maap dan ampun.

This coming Sunday, I'll be leaving KLCC to Teluk Ramunia. Again!!! Teluk Ramunia.*tempat jin bertendang tuh* I have to go since in the office, I could not have real exposure of the activity carry out at the yard. Right now, the Angsi-D platform is nearly ready to be sent to offshore. So, the remaining activity which required me to witness is Load Out Procedure. Well, I am going to share with you guys on the process of tranfering the Jacket and Topside (or Platform) to the gigantic barge and sail away to Terengganu soon. I've ordered DELL laptop so, I am going to blog again... I have to wait about 7 days to get the lappy since I ordered online from the website and with extra customization.

Satu lagik, today I am going to break my fast at Imperial Hotel. Since I am with Carigali, there are lots of invitation to 'Buka Puasa'. Where else eh, Hotel Maya, Restoran Sri Melayu, The Pulai Resort Desaru and Golden Beach Resort. The best thing was I had experience of Buka Puasa kt Imperial Hotel Miri for 2 days during first week of Ramadhan. 6.30pm was the time for break fast and 'sahur' normally around 3.45am!!! haha.. Thanks Carigali coz pay for the flight. Dah macam naek bas je rasanye.. Can't wait to go offshore and oversea!!!
